The management of (the allocated part of ) the production activities in relation to the designated technical discipline (Construction, Electrical, Machinery, Outfit Paint, or Interior) for the projects, within the set parameters for time, scope of work (General Agreement), quality and budget, and with observance of the applicable (national and international) (accreditation and classification) procedures, guidelines, and statutory regulations in such a way that interconnection with the other disciplines is guaranteed.
The drawing up of the naval architecture design for project development yachts (PA projects) and yachts under construction (Y construction numbers) taking into account the applicable (national and international) (accreditation and classification) procedures, guidelines, statutory regulations, and shipyard standards.
Project-based management of the Production organisation based on the overall project planning that has been drawn up and contributed to, in line with applicable procedures and guidelines and the assigned authorisation level, for the realisation of the projects based on the technical production documentation provided by Engineering and the goods and services purchased by the Project Buyer.
The Area Manager Production is responsible for the realisation of the allocated Areas of the yacht under construction based on the technical production information issued by Project Management Engineering, the materials and services made available by the Project Buyer, and in line with the area planning drawn up by the Project Planner and the coordination and monitoring of the operational execution of production activities for a project in collaboration with Site Management of subcontractors.
The core activities of the Engineering Department are construction/outfit -, systems (electrical/mechanical/piping) - and interior engineering.
Within the Engineering Department the conceptual design is translated into production information for the various production disciplines. Next to the operational activities the Engineering Department also has a strong co-ordinating role, internally and externally. As key Engineering phases, Technical Sales and R&D Support, Basic Engineering, Detail Engineering, Production – and After Sales Support are distinguished.
